FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series 2019

+

Description

Since 2007, the Traversée has incorporated one additional event in its slate of open water swimming competitions: the men’s and women’s 10km marathon. This competition constitutes a stage in the FINA/CNSG 10 km Marathon Swimming World Cup.

The race lasts about 2 hours. Participants must complete 6 laps of a 1.67 km course that starts and finishes in the Roberval harbour in front of Place de la Traversée. The FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series races may be summed up in two words: speed and combativeness! One often sees competitors swimming stroke for stroke the entire 2 hour time! The finish of this type of race is just as exciting!
